How many blue snaggletooths were made

Anakin is more rare than he is Yes he is one of the ones VC Jawa DT saber.. Ben hardest But yes he is lumped in that cat. Do you have a picture of the Blue Snag in question?

Which version is he? Great find I found mine with 4 12 back sandies, 3 12 back stormies and of course the snag all for I love those finds. This was about 2 years ago too. The reason they command the prices they do is that in the early days of SW collecting the true rariety of pieces was relatively unknown - things that turned out to be extremely rare were ignored or unknown and those three were identifed as being seen less frequently than the standard run and so were labeled "rare".

Blue Snagg is a little difficult to find mint but then again compared to many truly rare loose variants it really insnt a rare figure. I consider the three entry level "rarieties" if you will. For the record in 24 years collecting I have never owned a VC Jawa as the price really isnt justifed in my opinion. I have owned probably a dozen or so Yaks and Blue Snaggs in the years.

I agree, that blue Snaggletooth is not a rare figure at all, and neither are Jawa vinyl Cape , Yak Face or Luke dt saber. Those four figures can be found almost daily at eBay, one just have to watch out for repro capes and sabers. Vader and Ben with dt sabers is a whole different story, those two trully are rare.

The price does not always reflect the rarity as demand plays a huge factor. For example, last month I bought a Poch Bossk Poch is the company, that released the figures in Spain until PBP took over , there are only 7 known examples of that variation so far in the world, this means this figure should be extremely expensive, but it's just a bit more valuable than a Jawa vinyl cape although it's probably times as rare at least.

I breathed, ate and slept Star Wars 'back in the day,' and I never heard of a blue snaggie until I joined this site a few years back. In , when Kenner produced the first Jawa toys, they were adorned with a simple vinyl cape.

Before they launched production, designers at the factory decided that the vinyl used to make the capes just looked too cheap, so the company switched to a cloth cape before diving into mass production [source: Sansweet and Neumann ]. You may expect the major characters or the super-rare figures to fetch the highest prices, but sometimes the value of an action figure lies in the packaging. Released in , the FX-7 droid with its tiny plastic probe arm far exceeded its estimated value. How did Vlix, a relative unknown, get so valuable?

Not bad for a blue alien who never appeared in any of the Star Wars movies. Does this eBay listing look legit? Significantly, most all figures appear to be missing one or more accessories blasters, capes, etc. Plus whatever the case is worth. You just might come out ahead. I managed to get a sealed one with the box about 10 years ago. Once I get the sealed greedo the whole thing will be complete. You are commenting using your WordPress. Blue Snaggletooth still pictured in the playset would eventually be replaced by his red counterpart. Share this: Twitter Facebook. Like this: Like Loading Congratulations, Scott!

They ended up making the character too tall and gave him the wrong color outfit. However, fans who were able to get this early release, which Kenner rushed out to meet demand, were in luck, although Luke is at the low-end of the collectors scale when it comes to Star Wars action figures that have this feature.

The U. Why so valuable? Because he could literally kill someone. Specifically, this Boba Fett had a rocket blaster that was deemed a choking hazard. Combine the figure being pulled with the character being a fan favorite along with the toy getting released before Empire Strikes Back opened, and you have a recipe for an action figure that's worth a lot to you.
