All the Ingredients you can grow in the Greenhouses are used to brew Potions , which will give you some useful boosts for both Wizarding Challenges and confronting Confoundables.
Bitterroot, for example, is used in any Exstimulo Potion. These Potions improve spell casts in both Traces and Wizarding Challenges. Wormwood is a main Ingredient in Healing Potions, which will keep you alive during those difficult Wizarding Challenges. Below you'll find a useful chart that covers all the Ingredients you can grow in the Greenhouses, including how long it takes to grow each one and which Potions they are used for.
You can also unlock Portkey Portmanteaus and choose a profession from Auror, Magizoologist or Professor. When they have finished growing, Ingredients will appear on the map surrounding the Greenhouse they have been grown in.
The newly grown Ingredients will stay on the map for 60 minutes, before vanishing. It's important to remember that you have to pick up the Ingredients in person. This means you can easily miss out on your own Ingredients if you can't visit the Greenhouse in time or simply forget. Sometimes we include links to online retail stores.
