If a guard member is dismissed, he is either released on his own or disposed, depending on the threat he might impose if he joined another coven. The transitory guard members wear the gray cloaks while the nine permanent members wear the darker cloaks. Irina one of the Denali clans sisters saw Renesmee, Bella, and Jacob hunting in the woods and Irina thought Renesmee was an Immortal Child which is against the law in "Vampire World" so she told the Volturi and Irina and the Volturi including all the guard and the wives went to come kill Renesmee but when they get there they realize they have been out number because they Cullen's called in all of there vampire friends to help witness or fight if needed and they also realize that Renesmee has a heartbeat and is half vampire and half human so alice searches for another one like that and show the volturi and they decide to leave the Cullen's unharmed and leave.
